My mission as curator of this exhibition is to highlight and celebrate the many ways Asian woman artists have embodied and exercised their power to create and manifest positive change through creative and community work: shifting age-old paradigms and conceptions of power. As curator, I am immensely proud of this exhibition, which features over 20 artists working with an expansive repertoire of artistic medium: from painting to ceramic to print-making to multi-media, literary, photography, and more!

The exhibition program also includes art-making community workshops along with many events highlighting the creative works and legacies of AAPI artists as part of the 26th Annual United States of Asian America festival: “Reimagining Horizons.” For more info about this exhibition, along with the full list of featured artists, my curatorial statement, and press kit for the exhibition, please visit: www.aawaa.net/jade-wave-rising
